“Samus in Battle” by shamoozal [Colors! 3D - Nintendo 3DS]

As someone who has downloaded this game via the 3DS eShop, seeing artwork like the one above is mind boggling. I’m struggling to figure things out on it, and I cannot even wrap my brain around what I would need to do to create something like that. To be honest, I’m more of a doodler that loves to sketch things out in black and white, but this image makes me want to take an art class or twelve to learn about proper coloring and shading techniques.

Also, the Colors! website where shamoozal uploaded this photo shows his entire process of painting this epic confrontation between Samus and Ridley via a sped-up video clip.
